Dr. József Danka, MD
Specialist of Public Health and Epidemiological Laboratory Medicine

József Danka graduated as a hygienic doctor from the Leningrad Sanitary and Hygienic Medical Institute in 1983. He was specialized in public health and epidemiological laboratory medicine in 1986. He has been working at the Department of Parasitology of National Center for Epidemiology since 1983.

He is responsible for supervising the parasitological serological laboratory diagnosis at the Department. He takes part in theoretical and practical education of specialists, candidates for specialists and laboratory assistants.

The main topics of his scientific activities are the serodiagnosis of tissue helminthoses (toxocarosis, echinococcosis and trichinellosis), toxoplasmosis and studying the epidemiological aspects of these parasitoses in Hungary.

He has presented the results of his scientific research in 23 publications and numerous lectures in Hungarian or English.

He is a member of the Hungarian Society of Parasitologists, the Hungarian Society for Microbiology and the Hungarian Society for Zoonosis.
